EDITORIAL

Welcome to the fourth issue of the Journal of Social Pedagogy (RPS), Federal Fluminense University. In this issue, in particular, we will approach, through articles, reviews and reports of experiences, a reflexive source about being Social Pedagogy a pedagogy NECESSARY.

When and where traditional pedagogy gives up, Social Pedagogy insists. He insists on the labeled, the marginalized, the unlikely. It insists on forming social educators sensitive to the other and marked by solidarity, ethics, cooperation and humanity. It insists on strengthening ties, experiencing the theory-practice unity, and, above all, insists on establishing and renewing the pact with education, regardless of where it occurs.

It is a very special and extremely necessary pedagogy to the present, because committed and imbricated, with the basic nature of humanity: love, gentleness, compassion, empathy and emancipation. It demands an intellectual capacity committed to human existence, by allowing itself to be affected by the other in the quest to overcome boundary situations. As blue palladium transmutes reality, it connects to the future and transcends the instituted. We speak of a revolutionary pedagogy dedicated to zeal and care in all dimensions. It is the Pedagogy of the contexts of emergencies. It is the Pedagogy of complexity. Here is the blue palladium of education.

Excellent reading!
